Welcome to the services section. As we continue work on improving the site we will be adding free services for users. The first such service is an open XMPP (Jabber) server.
About the XMPP Server
Programmer-art.org is providing an open instant messaging and presence server that anyone is free to use. You can register for an account using any instant messenger program that supports XMPP (aka Jabber). You can send instant messages, make voice or video calls, and share files with anyone that is also using XMPP, including Google Talk users.
XMPP is backed by Google, IBM, HP, Jabber Inc, Jive Software, and many others, and is quickly becoming the standard for online messaging and presence information. Recently AOL has even set up test servers integrating their AIM network with the ever growing federation of XMPP servers.

Our Promise
We will not log private messages (group chats may be logged) or use personal information stored or sent through the server in any way. That said, don't trust us - use OTR or other client-to-client encryption protocols to make sure you are secure.
